Enjoy live music with free outdoor concerts in Dillon and Silverthorne this summer.
Both Dillon and Silverthorne offer vibrant music scenes at unforgettable venues. Bring a blanket to sit on and head to the lakeside Dillon Amphitheatre on Friday and Saturday nights. Nestled next to Lake Dillon and framed by the stunning Gore Range peaks, the venue offers a family-friendly experience with excellent views of the sun slipping behind Red Mountain. Wine and beer are sold on the premises, and you’ll also find a great selection of dinner options.
“There’s no better place to see a sunset,” says Matt Miano, the Town of Dillon’s event manager. “I wish I could put it into words. At our biggest events, I’ll be running around, but I always take 60 seconds to stop, look around and appreciate how magical the place is.”
If you happen to be in town for July 4, don’t miss the National Repertory Orchestra playing in the park from 10 a.m. to noon for free. A big screen will help you see the 88 musicians on stage if you don’t get a spot near the stage. Next door, the John Philip Sousa Band of Colorado—a group of 40 volunteer musicians—will play a free concert at the Dillon Amphitheatre at 10 a.m.
