120 stands of fresh foods and local goods

Meet at the Dillon Farmers Market

A Market with Altitude

With more than 120 stands selling everything from artisanal cheese to handcrafted lotions, you’ll feel healthy just walking through the Dillon Farmers Market.

Held every Friday during the summer months, the market is one of the Colorado’s largest. You’ll find peaches from Palisade and honey from Winter Park, along with other local products like Climax Jerky, named for the Climax Mine near Leadville. Choose between beef, elk, or buffalo jerky in gourmet flavors like smoked teriyaki and honey-glazed steak. After perusing the stalls, order lunch at the market. Don’t miss Chef Walter’s legendary salmon sandwiches: he smokes the salmon on site in his smoker. While he may appear unassuming, he has cooked for former President Ronald Reagan and Queen Elizabeth. Look for his Styria Catering sign. Craving lighter fare? Enjoy a tamale from Colorado’s Best Tamales or head to the crepe stand run by the nearby Immanuel Fellowship. Then sit at an open picnic table and enjoy the market’s live music.

The farmers market runs Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., from June 9 to September 15 on Buffalo Street in downtown Dillon.
